In recent years, Lorünser Austria has implemented many prestigious projects. These include the largest hydropower plant in Central Africa in Andritz/Ethiopia, the offshore wind farm off the island of Rügen in Germany with a total of 80 wind turbines and also high-voltage direct-current (HVDC) transmission such as the connection between Sellindge/England and Bonnigues-lés-Calais/France by submarine cable, and the Indian Champa-Kurukshetra project.
