Drones are suitable for monitoring switchgear. This makes it relatively quick and easy to identify whether there are any “hotspot” problems in a switchgear system. In future, switchgear operators will be able to benefit from this service provided by Lorünser Austria.
Lorünser Austria has designed a new product line specifically for the market segment from 66 to 150 kilovolts. This is particularly interesting for the price-sensitive market and, like all Lorünser products, is designed to be of high quality and easy to install.
Lorünser Austria has been operating in Thailand for 30 years and is a major supplier of products for power transmission. In the summer of 2021, the Thai ambassador Morakot Sriswasdi paid Lorünser a visit.
“The demand for high-quality products in the energy transmission sector is increasing throughout Southeast Asia,” explained Lorünser Managing Director Jürgen Thurnher. Over the past ten years, the company has supplied products to around 100 projects in Thailand for connecting power plants to the electricity transmission grid.
